Sometime this week my blog visit counter will reach 10,000! Seems like a reason to celebrate to me. So

One thing about not having air conditioning is that
restaurants and movie theaters often feel overly chilly to me. We are so lucky
to have an alternative to the frigid movie complex. Just up the road from us is an old Drive- In
that still shows feature films. It’s one of only 61 operating Drive- Ins in the
country I’m told. This past weekend we Beat the Heat by heading to the Drive In
to see Brave.
We packed a pic-nic to eat while we waited for dusk. We watched kids play soccer and Frisbee and
catch on the lawn in front of the screen. The breeze picked up and the air-cooled
as dusk arrived around 10:00pm and the movie started. It was a late night for
this early riser, but the movie was fabulous, the company and food delicious
and the cool breeze sublime.
