Mardi Gras- Shrove Tuesday- Fat Tuesday-King Cake- Pancakes-we have Paczki Day. (in these parts we pronounce it “punchkey”)
A holiday all about doughnuts!
Like a jelly doughnut, but better... especially if they come from Hamtramck where there is even a parade in honor of Paczki Day. Sure they come in all your standard flavors but the hard core among us choose Powidla…prune.
