Up North Mittens

I finished up my mittens with some of the yarn I made with Lena's fleece.

Folks here in Michigan use their hand as a map to show where they're from-this doesn't work really well if you live in the Upper Peninsula, in which case you would need two hands to make your map and a third to point.

Anyway- I stitched a small button on one mitten to pinpoint my current hometown.

Planning to do some experimenting to see how this wool responds to a little more rigorous washing. Felting that happens gradually with use when it comes to wool mittens can be so cool. Drastic shrinkage and fabric so thick you can't bend your hands is another story. We'll see....
