Blooming... yesterday

Beebalm aka Monarda, Oswego Tea (after the Otsego tribe of New York), and sometimes as Bergamot because of its similarity in fragrance to the tropical tree orange bergamot. It can be dried for tea or potpourris or the petals can be used fresh in salads. The blooms look very pretty floating in punch. I discovered today in an Herbal Guide that companion planting with tomatoes is thought to improve the tomatoes. Hmmmmmmm……may be moving some things around.

I love bee balm --- and you've got a beautiful bunch there in your garden! I hadn't heard that they did well with tomatoes! Interesting! :-)

Thanks for the well wishes!! I'm so excited to plan the wedding, especially when there are so many awesome crafty ideas floating around on the web.

I know what you mean about wanting to comment, but not getting around to it - that's the story of my life! So along those lines - your vest is beautiful! And being an apartment dweller that longs for a garden, I'm loving your garden posts! Thanks again
