My counter hit 10,000 visits! Seems like a reason to
celebrate to me. So here is what I have in mind. Each day- for five days-
Monday through Friday -I am going to do a post on how I’m beating the heat.
Leave a comment sharing something you do to Beat the Heat and I’ll enter you in
a drawing to win the pattern of your choice- which I will purchase through the
gift button on Ravelry. Leave a comment everyday and that’s FIVE chances to
win. Looking forward to a FUN week and reading your Beat the Heat comments!
I’m beating the heat today by trying to get chores and work
done early so I can head to lake. I do have a
few updates to share before I get out the door though…..
I finished the bottom ruffle of my skirt, but left the
stitches live so I can adjust the length if I need to. I also decided to leave
the top ruffle as is for now and give the second ruffle another go with an
alternative lace pattern I found in a Barbara Walker treasury. Keeping my
fingers crossed…
In totally unrelated news- I happened to stumble upon a blogger who has translated one of my free patterns into another language. I’m embarrassed
to say I’m not sure what language – maybe Dutch? I don’t see a Ravelry link so I wasn’t able
to look her up. Anyway her version is lovely. I’m just hoping the post says
complimentary things about the pattern. I’m thinking there must be a way to
translate it- just not sure now. It truly is a small, small knitting world - isn't it?
So thank you all for checking in this week and sharing how
you’re beating the heat! Tomorrow I’ll gather all the names for each day – mix them
all together and have David pull one. So check back tomorrow for the
winner and Stay Cool!
PS- thumbs up from me on the honey ice cream! David- he liked the coffee better.
